I missed the part in the specs that listed all Windows versions except Vista and 7, so that isn't the fault of the device. I need to share one monitor, keyboard and mouse with two computers. I connected 2 computers to a single usb hub with the keyboard and mouse (monitor already has dual computer support.) If both computers were running XP, (or support for Windows 7 were added) this would be the perfect solution. As long as you aren't running Windows 7 on either computer, I'd certainly recommend this device.

This USB 2 port switch has made printing from our 2 computers much easier. I have a router connected between our 2 computers that permits us to share files, but only one computer was directly connected to the printer. Up until recently I could print from either computer by going through the router. However, since we purchased a new computer and now have Vista on one computer and XP on the other, I can't get the printer sharing to work correctly. I never did like having to have both computers powered up to print from one. The USB 2 port switch has made printing from either computer much simpler, I have the printer software in both computers and I can print from either one without powering the other. The USB switch was trivial to hook up, it is small and doesn't take up hardly any desk space as is seen in the picture.
