Trying to display a desktop image on to a 40inch tv with this part is less than satisfactory. The resolution is so bad that you need to sit pretty fair away from the tv, just to make it look normal. It does do as described as to where it does display the pc image on the tv, but what is lacking is the quality. It will flutter and be unusable if you take the computer off of 640x800 resolution. I can not use this product to display anything in my conference room to potential customers and would imagine it is even worse for gamers. At [$], you would be wise to spend your money elsewhere. Perhaps on something with a dedicated converter. Live and learn

My mother called me from her home in Florida one day and asked how she could hook her computer up to the TV, so she could watch Arabic movies from the Internet. I knew, since this was my mother, I couldn't really walk her through encoding the movies to DVD every time, and she needed something simple. Living in Illinois, I remote-controlled her computer to show her these products, and all she had do to was hook it up. We ended up purchasing four products all together. The AItech Maxview Presenter by CTG, a 25ft Velocity™ S-Video Cable, a 12ft MP3 3.5mm Adapter Cable - White, and a 12ft Velocity™ RCA Type Audio Extension Cable. Out of the four products we purchased, the AItech Maxview Presenter by CTG one was the most versatile. It allows for three simultaneous outputs: VGA, S-Video and RCA. This allowed us to see what was coming from the computer on the TV and the computer monitor at the same time. Plus, it had female outputs, allowing us to use regular male-to-male cables to hook up the video, hence the 25ft Velocity™ S-Video Cable.
The sales rep who assisted us made me very comfortable in selecting the products I needed, but he made me feel rushed.
