I was very thankful to find that there IS an optical cable extension adapter. My system is installed in a wall with log siding on the outside, and rock on the inside. When I discovered my original cable was 6" short, I thought I would have to abandon the digital optics or have a cable running along the wall. What a life (& aesthetics) saver! As far as the sound and picture, they are flawless!!

Have you ever found yourself needing a longer cable to connect your audio components but had more than one shorter cable. This product is not only a money-saver, it enable me to obtain a more custom length by easily combining two shorter cables to make an extended run of fiber optic cable. Also, I was able to use the more expensive shorter cables. This connector is a wise investment and one worth having on hand.
