Wow... that's all I can say. These things are completely useless. I'm a professional I.T. guy. I've been making CAT5 Cables for years and can blast them out in minutes so I'm no amateur. These connectors take no less than 10-15 minutes to assemble... per end. But to give it a fair shake, I brought the connectors back to my office and had 3 other techs attempt to assemble cables with these. All 3 Techs are faster than I and all three said, "What the "expletive deleted?". I bought these for a job with tight margins and thought I'd save a buck but that's not an error I'll make again. Save yourself the headache and get the more expensive single unit without inserts. These are the worst I've ever seen.

Sadly, I threw these away too. They are just too slow to work with. I can put on 5 normal RJ45's compared to one of these, and then the likelyhood of it not being good in contact is high. Very unreliable and difficult/slow to put on.

This is the easiest way I have found to use these plugs with the little power bar.
* Untwist all pairs to the required length, then cut straight.
* Bend up every other strand, and then slid the other strands through the full holes.
* Bend down the 4 other strands through the half holes.
* Cut excess off the end.
* Push the bar almost off the end, then feed it into the plug.
* Crimp and repeat for other end.
Hope this helps anyone TRYING to use these plugs
Comments about Cables To Go RJ45 Cat5E Modular Plug for Round Solid/Stranded Cable 50pk:
Excellent product, but electronic tools are required for proper implementation. I use Xcelites and Crescent miniatures, mostly with spring loading. The load block is too small for hand manipulation-any sized hand, and other tasks such as untwisting, straightening and aligning wires are only reasonably done with these tools. This modular plug hangs up in my Ideal ratcheting crimper, requiring disloding the crimped plug by a gentle push from the plug side. Don't try to drag it out by the cable end. Make sure you color print the instructions, available online. If you do all of this, you will not go back to ordinary RJ45's.

I threw these away and bought the RJ45 EZs and more standard crimps. I don't have time to fumble around with these stupid things. My hands are just to big and the Power Bars would not keep the wires aligned. I can't afford to loose that much time. I didn't realize what I was buying.

These are nearly impossible to thread. I think they were made to be used with a machine because the common man can't thread the cables through that load bar nonsense

As some have stated, instructions would be useful. Just feed the wires into the tiny hole guide, and cut the length of wires coming out of the guide so that there is minimal untwisting of the pairs (the CAT rating will be voided if the pairs are untwisted for too long a length). Then simply feed the wire with the guide into the jack and the guide will help place the wires in the proper hole.

Comments about Cables To Go RJ45 Cat5E Modular Plug for Round Solid/Stranded Cable 50pk:
When I received this item, I said to myself, what the heck did they send me. After coming to this site, I figured out what the "power bar" was intended to do. It is way too cumbersome. It must have been designed by a person with little tiny fingers. You made something so simple more complicated. I'll be returning it to my vendor. If you are new to putting on ends, make SURE you don't purchase this item.

Needs more information on how to use the product. Maybe better tips or tutorial. I'm using stranded cat6; therefore, more difficult to install.
Would only recommend to experience data cable installer.

Anyone who complains these are too complicated just doesn't know what they're doing and shouldn't be building their own connectors anyway. The sleave has 8 slots, you start with Orange/Wht and work your way over to Brown.
Comments about Cables To Go RJ45 Cat5E Modular Plug for Round Solid/Stranded Cable 50pk:
One side of the load bar had open half-holes that you snap the wires into. But they would not hold when inserting the load bar into the plug.
Suggest using a plug with a load bar that has eight full holes in it, through which you thread wires. Available at local home centers.
Comments about Cables To Go RJ45 Cat5E Modular Plug for Round Solid/Stranded Cable 50pk:
The insert is supposed to make it easier to line up the wires with the slots in the plug, but it isn't clear how that works. It takes some trial and error to get it right. A "Tips" or instruction sheet would have been helpful.
