Quickly convert your DB9 M/M cable with the patented Serial270 DB9 cable. The 270° DB9 connectors on each end rotate side-to-side in almost a complete circle, allowing you to position the cable to fit your installation. The connectors feature detents, or click-stops, every 90° to ensure signal integrity is maintained. The oversized thumbscrews are slotted for easy connection to your equipment. All lines are wired straight-through. With Serial270, the days of not having the right connector orientation on your cables are over! Connector 1: DB9 Rotating Female Connector 2: DB9 Rotating Female Please Note: Forcing the connector past the click-stops will break the connector and possibly damage the cable.

I use the cable to connect a PLC to a computer for field equipment calibration and testing. It is light weight and can be manipulated around existing obstructions easily.

We fabricated a custom barcode scanning and verification solution for our production lines. Many of the cables we used needed to be replaced within a month of initial use because of wear on the connectors from slightly adjusting the barcode scanners.

The rotation on these cables allowed us to rotate the scanners as needed to accommodate different scanning angles without sacrificing the cable.

We paid a bit more for these than standard serial cables, but the return was almost immediate... we do not have to keep replacing the serial cables anymore.

These cables stand up to constant bumping and rotations and are rugged enough for our industrial environment.
