I needed a connection between my PS3 and my Samsung monitor, the monitor comes with a DVI connection and a regular computer connection. I know that DVI is capable of displaying 1080p so I then needed to find a cable that would be HDMI on one end and DVI on the other, it sounded like I was not going to be able to find such a thing but a little browsing and I found this site. I ordered the cable (by the way this is one of many choices they have) and I got it a few days later, now my PS3 and my monitor are working seamlessly and I could't be happier. I highly recommended this site to my friends.

I wanted to display 2'x3' building plans on a 42" diaginal Monitor. My computer only had a DVI video card. I priced out at new video card which was expensive and someone told me about the HDMI to DVI cable. I plugged it in and fired up the monitor and showed clients crystal clear drawings in about 2 minutes worth of installation. The best part was that it cost less than $30! What a deal!

I used this cable to inter-connect a Scientific Atlanta, Explorer 4200HD high definition cable box, with a DVI type output to a Denon A/V receiver with HDMI inputs for a customer.

Doing this allowed me to avoid swapping the Explorer box out for a newer one with an HDMI output. If I had to swap out the old box for a new one I would have to reprogram the users Universal Remote MX-3000 because the I/R codes for the new box would have been different.
