Our s-video cable also provides the right solution for connecting extended definition video recorders or digital satellite systems to your a/v receiver or television/monitor. Carefully designed precision video conductors ensure optimal video quality. Individually shielded Y (luminance) and C (chrominance) conductors are combined with an overall aluminum foil and OFC braid shield to protect against radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). This cost-effective high-performance cable ensures maximum video quality when compared with s-video cables typically included with consumer electronics products. Oxygen-free copper wire and the 24K gold-plated OFC connectors deliver all the detail, color and brightness you expect from your s-video component. Fully molded connectors provide excellent strain relief while the stylish, ultra-flexible PVC jacket enhances cable durability for years of audio/video enjoyment. I have used velocity cables of all types for several years now. I notice no line loss and the quality was much better than expected when I received my first one. If you do not want to drop the big $$$ on the totaly highend cables but want something better than "economy cables" this is your product. In 8 years I have had zero problems. This cable was purchased for hooking up my best friend's DVD+hard drive in conjunction with a velosity S-video Y splitter to her satalite receiver. It had only 1 S-video out and the Picture is great on her 50 inch flat screen. No more needs to be said.
