I bought this cable and a splitter so that I could use an external monitor to extend either my MacBook or my netbook's display without much hassle. While the length of this cable is perfect, I've been sorely disappointed in its quality. The screen resolution that it supports is well below what the netbook supports, leaving me to work with a stretched image when using it with the external monitor. (Incidentally, the splitter cannot be at fault, because the resolution on the external monitor when using the MacBook is just as it should be–and is higher than what the netbook supports.) This cable is functional and fine for occasional use, but I would not recommend it for extensive use.
