This cable is not easy to find in local stores, so I was very happy to find it here. I use the cable to connect two monitors to my PC displaying the same information - one on my desk and one on my walk-station desk (a standing desk with a treadmill). This cable is very sturdy and high quality, if a bit bulky (so hard to manipulate in tight spaces). Strong screws attach the cable to my PC or my extension cable, although the handles of the screws are harder to turn than I'd like. A flat-head screwdriver does the trick, though (again, tight spots make this option harder). Overall, I was very pleased with the exact cable I wanted, with very high quality, for a very reasonable price.

Wanted to share the image from my PC with a small flat screen television for Netflix etc. When plugged in on a 6 foot cord, one of the images is always a bit blurry. Don't use this cord if you're trying to split/share the image from a pc to television.

The splitter cable works great. I have a docking station and in order to use my projector I would have to unplug my monitor. I needed a VGA splitter. I looked all over town and finally found it at Cables-to-Go. I'm very happy with the quality of the product and have used it many times. I can now use the projector while simultaneously using my monitor.

The cable itself did what I needed it to do,which was to use my tv as a secondary moniter!After hooking everything up though, I found there was a performance change on my moniter. Not the tv! The color scheme changed a bit! It wasnt crazy just distracting.The color black on my moniter turned a slight purple!Still it was the smplelist way to get the job done!

The only negative comments I have about this article is that the branches were shorter than I had anticipated and that I had to shim the coupling nuts with washers to allow the depth necessary for the coupling screws to draw the connectors together for a good connection of the attached equiptment. Other than that I consider the article a good value for the price and I am satisfied with it. I used the item to split my video out from my computer to a monitor and a projector and it works fine.

Tried to use to split signal to VGA Computer monitor and to LCD Monitor/TV in another room. Both endpoints suffered from darker image and many ghosts. Very durable construction. Had to order a D/A instead to maintain britness and eliminate ghosted image.

Be aware that this cable is not for use with a long cable. I wanted to use it with an LCD monitor close by and a plasma display in another room. No can do. Need to get an active splitter for longer distances.

I bought this cable so I could connect my projector to two inputs without constantly reconnecting(computer and dvd/Sat. video).The picture from my Computer shows ghosting, but the picture from the DVD/Sat. looks better.I inspected the cable, and it appears like one of the connection pins is missing on the Male end(i thought they should have 15?)[...]I tested the connection their way, with the same results(ghosting on my monitor).This cable simply doesn,t work as advertised!I think I need an expert opinion about weather this cable is a one time defect, or they are all made that way.

Cables To Go Response: We are sorry that this cable is not working for you. Please note that to pass a VGA computer video signal not all 15 pins are required. The 9th pin in the HD15 connection does not carry any part of the VGA signal and therefore is omitted from the connection leaving only 14 pins. Also, please note that this cable is not designed to connect multiple source devices to a single display. Using this cable in this manner will potentially cause irreparable damage to your equipment. To connect multiple sources to a single display you must use a VGA switch, similar to our product 39962.

I use this cable in place of a video splitter box that cost about $50. The video splitter box required electric and there were display issues because cables did not stay tight. This cable has good solid connections. It does cause my monitor and my LCD projector to be not quite as bright as a direct connection, although I probably would not have noticed that at all if I had not had to use a direct connection before. It is a good solution.

intended to use a second monitor as a training tool. while i worked at my station, i could have a 2nd monitor facing my guest - where I could show them how to do certain unique software features.
i work in a company where technology has not been a significant focus - but with some software changes, the game changed - and many are not sophisticated in this realm.
Unfortunitely, i had a 17" match with a 22". My video card did not like the match and gave me disasterous results on restarts.
i have disconnected awaiting some extra funds to purchase a second 22" monitor for the compatibility.

Bought the cable. Used it to run two monitors simultaneously. One of the monitors quit working within a day. Originally I thought the monitor just quit working but I hooked up the second brand new replacement monitor and it quit working within a day. Took the cable out of the system and the third brand new monitor has been working without any problems for two months. Still looking for a solution to run two screens at the same time. Tried to call Cables to Go and no answer or answering machine........

We have not heard any other reports of this product permanently affecting a display.
