Quality 75 Ohm coax cable is double-shielded with 85% alumimum foil and braid to reduce unwanted noise and distortion. 24 AWG 90% spiral-wrapped copper shielded wire provides shielding against EMI/RFI interference. The Y/C signal separation circuitry provides a bright, crisp picture from your multimedia PC to an a/v receiver, TV or monitor. In addition to fitting standard s-video jacks, the precision-engineered bi-directional cables fit both 7-pin and 4-pin jacks on desktops and laptops with a TV out jack. Gold-plated terminals ensure long-lasting, corrosion-free connections. Flexible PVC jacket enables easy installation; NTSC and PAL compatible. I needed a cable to transmit video and audio from my laptop with an S-Video port and stereo audio port over long distances via wireless to remote AV equipment. This was solved by connecting the cable from the computer directly to a VK82A 2.4GHz Transmitter/Receiver combination obtained from X10 home automation solutions [$]. The laptop can be set up any where in the presentation area and the RF can be transmitted to the AV equipment up to 100ft wirelessly. I went to CablesToGo to find two sets of cables (S-video and audio) to hook up my laptop to my TV since my DVD player blew up. I was happy to see they had both sets of cables in one convenient bundle. Still a little expensive, but totally worth it. Good stuff.

I am using this patch cable to connect my laptop to my Mixer Amp for doing my Karaoke Shows. The only thing I wish was that the Mini Plug end was about 12 inches longer than the S Video connector.. Then it would be Perfect!!!

A cool cable. I purchased this to connect a laptop to my entertainment center in my "mancave." Now I can watch any streaming video or video slide shows on my 50 inch plasma and play my 500 gig of music that is on a shared drive on my surround sound. Very nifty.
