I got this cord for a wall mounted tv, to reduce the clearance required for the tv power/cables. In this case, I went from about 1.75" clearance to the wall, to about 3/4" - perfect. The only thing to worry about here is how deep the socket in the chassis for the power is. In my case (Samsung tv), the socket is about 0.100" deeper than optimal. The cord still works, but it doesn't seat as completely as you'd like.

i had a flat screen mounted to my wall and i couldnt space it far enough from the wall without having the power cord scrunch up against the wall...and after a while the cord started to deteriorate from the strechting of whatever...so this cord was perfect and now it doesnt even touch the wall.
