After spending considerable time and effort snaking HDMI cable to my monitor, I was very disappointed to find that the picture quality was not as good. I like the monitor overall and didn't want to discard it. This HDMI to DVI converter was the perfect solution. Picture quality is perfect and though I don't get sound via the same channel, I've managed to work around it. This was a low-cost solution to protect my investment.
