This adapter is designed for control signals, however the gender on both ends is incorrect for most control functions. The cable should be a DB-9 F to connect to monitors or projectors and a 3.5mm female to plug into the 3.5mm male connector that is on the flying lead. Another cable needs to be added to the inventory that has a male 3.5mm and a DB-9 female to cover both ends of the control functions.
