From the picture, I thought I was getting a toslink connection on both ends. I was wrong. The mini-plug is not a toslink connection and doesn't fit into a toslink outlet. The description isn't clear about this. Since I was unaware of these adapters previously, I purchased this in error. Did receive a refund, though.

I connected two right angle Toslink Mini Plug Adapters to my Portable MiniDisc Players for recording Digital inputs from, on the one hand my Computer system, and on the other my Home Audio System. From my Computer system and its related Sound Card (SPDIF)I can record midi feeds, audio feeds from music, even my feeds from my Digital Box from my TV feed. They are built well, are durable and elegant to look at.

I bought this adapter along with a TosLink cable to connect a laptop computer to an outboard dac. The digital-out jack on the MacBook is along the side and with this adapter, my Toslink cable extends back along the side of the laptop.
