2010 CES Innovations Award Winner! This kit includes all you need to wirelessly stream video and audio from your computer to a remote monitor, projector, or TV. Utilizing Ultra-Wide Band technology, the USB to VGA with Integrated Audio Kit enables in-room wireless connectivity up to 30 feet (line of sight) between the computer and the display. This single device adapter supports and delivers video and audio wirelessly from a computer to an external display. This highly secure wireless connection is ideal for classroom or conference room presentations or to display audio/video content from your laptop to your home entertainment system. The Kensington® lock port is identical to those found on laptops to help deter theft in education settings; plus its hard-mountable base enables easy wall, ceiling or furniture mounting. Works in both extended desktop and dual monitor screen modes; supports native mode for playback of high resolution video. Up to six computers can share one wireless display and speaker set*, and one computer can broadcast up to six audio/video displays.** Please Note: *Requires the purchase of additional USB host adapters (#29578) for the additional computers. **Requires the purchase of additional VGA with Integrated Audio Device adapters (#29599) for additional displays. For more information, read Frequently Asked Questions About Wireless USB, or TruLink® Wireless Solutions. Note: When connecting the Trulink Wireless USB to VGA with audio adapter (#29598) to a computer that is running both Windows 7 64-bit and using a RealTek network adapter, a conflict occurs between the wireless unit and the Realtek chipset.  Therefore, we do not recommend using this product in that configuration at the current time. Connectors: USB A Male, HD15 VGA Female, 3.5mm Female.** Download Drivers: 32-Bit Installer | 64-Bit Installer

Comments about Cables To Go TruLink® Wireless USB to VGA With Integrated 3.5mm Audio Kit:

Our use was to get VGA connectivity from a presentation location to a multiple display interface without running cabling.
Strictly following the Setup instructions did not work, as the units did not seem to be "pre-associated" as stated in the Setup. I had to follow the "PIN Association Procedure" to make the units connect to each other.

Used for Trade Show Booth
By AnthonyVerified Reviewer from Wichita, KS on 6/8/2010

Comments about Cables To Go TruLink® Wireless USB to VGA With Integrated 3.5mm Audio Kit:

We use this so that our trade show booth presentation can be wireless from the laptop. We like it a lot for that purpose. It's looks good, and it works well for what we do. Tried streaming video feed, and it worked so-so. There is quite a bit of software setup that you have to do and I wish it was a little more streamlined, but other then that, it's a good product.

Comments about Cables To Go TruLink® Wireless USB to VGA With Integrated 3.5mm Audio Kit:

We had a very specific purpose for this device: To eliminate cable clutter from the presenter machine in the conference room.

We have a touch-screen All-in-One PC we use as a presenter machine that also controls the projector (cloned display). This did the job very well. The presenter machine is ~12' from the receiver and works well for all of our presentations. We even had a mini-film festival with user videos in many formats and they played on this without issue...

It made for a very professional-looking setup with the PC only needing a power cord.

(Note: The receiver is plugged into a non-powered KVM and the presenter machine is powered on and off daily and it comes up every time.)

Comments about Cables To Go TruLink® Wireless USB to VGA With Integrated 3.5mm Audio Kit:

Our goal was to use this product so anyone can access the projector with the freedom of wireless. With all the required drivers, it does not fit our need for quick connectivity by transient users in a conference room setting. Does not play High-end video. Video will work at 800 x 600. Works at higher settings very well for non-video. Distance of 30 feet does not seem far enough. If the unit is that close, might as well use a cable and save the hassle of all the software and driver installs required.
