Comments about Cables To Go Trulink® Wireless USB to VGA+3.5mm Audio Kit:
While the video works, the audio driver does not load in Lion. Technical support suggested that the problem was that Lion doesn't always load the audio driver and that I should reboot before using it. That doesn't work reliably and the idea of rebooting each time before using the tool seems silly. I want to use the product in my classroom.
Comments about Cables To Go Trulink® Wireless USB to VGA+3.5mm Audio Kit:
It works great for our application if the sending and receiving unit are in a direct line of site. We tried to put the sending unit in the usb of the pc which was under the desk and the video was choppy. Move it up to the monitor usb port and it works excellent.

Comments about Cables To Go Trulink® Wireless USB to VGA+3.5mm Audio Kit:
This is the new version of the CablesToGo branded wireless VGA kit. This version is a huge improvement over the old one. First off, the USB transmitter is also a flash drive containing the software. That in itself is a great feature. They've worked out the problems with Windows 7 and it runs great on Win7, Vista and XP. (even 64bit windows 7)
I have this installed in a corporate conference room so we can use a 60" 1080p TV for presentations. It impresses most folks, especially clients when they don't see a projector. It streams videos well enough and has a setting in the software for streaming video. I've tested with some mpegs and netflix. If you tried with a DVD, my guess would be some screen flutter keeping up, but that's not really what this is designed for. The audio streaming is great and if you've got a small video to show as a part of a presentation, having the audio come from the TV and not your laptop is pretty cool.
I would highly recommend this product for an office setting where you have a TV or large monitor available in lieu of using a projector.
The only drawback is the clunky software installation. (I'd give it 4.5 stars if that were any option) It's not a smooth installation. It is slow to install and you think it's finished several times before it really is. On some machines it requires a reboot. Not exactly something you want to deal with during a meeting when you want to "pass the projector" off to someone who doesn't have the software installed.
All in all, an EXCELLENT product.
