If you have a TV with DVI and trying to convert to VGA stop and look at the female on your TV. If you don't have 4 pins surrounding your large tab this adapter will not work.

Cables To Go Response: We're sorry that this adapter did not work for your application. There are two different types of DVI ports/cables, DVI-D and DVI-I. DVI-D will not have the 4 pins surrounding the grounding bar. DVI-D is only capable of sending/receiving a digital signal. DVI-I will have 4 pins surrounding the grounding bar. DVI-I is capable of sending/receiving both analog and digital signals. Since VGA is an analog signal, this adapter will only work with DVI-I ports/cabling and will not work with DVI-D ports/cabling.
