I took a shot at trying this S-video to composite adapter to send a composite video signal from my blue ray player to my S-video input on my DVR with an S-video cable. The signal is a composite signal, or worse. Certainly not worth the effort. I would recommend this adapter for a quick connection to merge the two video streams; just don't expect a clear picture.
