Cables To Go Supports Local Children's Medical Center Through Recycling

DAYTON, OHIO – APR. 21, 2011 - Cables To Go is making a difference in children's lives, one print toner cartridge at a time. "It's really pretty simple", Bill Diederich, CEO and President of Cables To Go said. "We donate about 20 empty toner cartridges each month to Dayton Children's Medical Center, where they recycle the equipment and use the money to fund programs for children."

As part of the Future Technologies printer/toner cartridge and computer equipment recycling program, Cables To Go is providing support to Dayton Children's and their young patients suffering from cancer. Specifically, the monies allow Dayton Children's to throw end-of treatment celebrations for patients; give books, toys and games to comfort children during procedures; and provide educational materials and resources for parents as they cope with their child's illness.

The Comprehensive Care Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's provides extensive services to children with blood disorders or malignancies. For children with cancer, state-of-the-art care is provided through collaboration with the Children's Oncology Group. A multidisciplinary approach ensures that patients' and families' medical and psychosocial needs are met. Dayton's Children's cancer program is approved by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Dayton's Children's is one of just 11 approved pediatric programs in the country allowing us to provide kids with cancer in the Miami Valley the latest cancer treatments. All children are treated regardless of ability to pay.
