Cables To Go Expands Inventory with Ingram Micro Canada to Meet Market Demands

DAYTON, OHIO – JUNE 22, 2010 – Cables To Go (www.cablestogo.com), the preferred provider of high-performance cabling and connectivity solutions, today announced it has more than doubled the number of Cables To Go products being offered by Ingram Micro Canada, the Canadian subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM).

With the expanded offering, nearly 1,000 Cables To Go products are now in stock and ready to ship through Ingram Micro Canada. In order to support the digital signage, SMB and education segments, the greatest increase in product availability is within the A/V and networking categories. To build greater awareness among Ingram Micro's channel partner community, Cables To Go and the distributor are engaged in a number of co-operative marketing programs.

"Strict building code requirements for cabling in plenum spaces have created installation challenges in schools, hospitals and other commercial buildings," said Gary Hess, vice president of innovation for Lastar, parent company of Cables To Go. "Previous solutions have needed to convert the digital signals to run over Cat5 or Cat6 and then convert them back. This adds complexity due to the signal conversion, requires a power source and introduces the possibility of signal degradation. With digital plenum cables from Cables To Go, commercial installers have a simple, flexible means to transmit digital signals through plenum spaces."

"Ingram Micro is a great partner for Cables To Go, and we're pleased to expand our inventory and work together to generate greater demand for Cables To Go technology," said Tim Turner, senior sales director of Cables To Go. "By doubling our available inventory with Ingram Micro Canada we are bringing new alternatives to a market that is poised for explosive growth in high-definition audio/video connectivity."

Ingram Micro Canada began distributing Cables To Go products just over 18 months ago. According to Ingram Micro Canada's Tim Billing, vice president, vendor management, the IT distributor's proven success in selling connectivity solutions that include Cables To Go's products and attracting new resellers were two of the primary drivers for increasing Cables to Go product inventory.

"We're seeing increasing demand for connectivity solutions among SMBs and key verticals such as education," says Billing. "Technology categories such as digital signage are also seeing an uptick in demand which bodes well for Cables To Go and its channel partners. We're pleased to expand our portfolio of Cables To Go products and will continue to build upon our success."

Cables to Go's expanded portfolio of product inventory is now available through Ingram Micro Canada and can be ordered online at www.ingrammicro.ca.
